"Mum's care journey"

About: Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency Victoria Hospital / Admissions Unit 2 (Emergency Surgical) Victoria Hospital / Respiratory Medicine

(as a relative),

My mum was brought into the Emergency Department where she was treated with excellent care and the team kept my dad (who was very worried about her) informed of what was going the doctors, nurses did a fantastic job of caring for mum and reassuring dad. I also have to mention Admissions unit 2 Raith staff nurse had phoned myself to inform me of my mum deteriorating and being moved to SHDU ..

unfortunately she contracted Covid and was moved to Ward51 where the staff cared for her  she always said the staff were amazing with her especially Wilson….

Mum is home now and still continues to get better each day ….

Thank you for all your excellent care you all do fantastic and not given enough recognition for the job you do ..

Dear Tinkmum

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that a visit to the Emergency Department can be very daunting, it is lovely to hear that the team were able to ensure your Mum's experience was positive. Patient comfort and safety is always our priority, I am so pleased to hear that this was indeed your Mum's experience. It is good to note that your Mum is now home and recovering well. I will share this lovely feedback with my team and wish you, your Mum and family all the very best.

Take Care - Jamie Doyle.
