"Mother’s visit to have hysterscope in outpatients"

About: London Ambulance Service NHS Trust Northwick Park Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a relative),

My mother had a procedure done in March at gynae outpatients.   She travelled by hospital transport and was  welcomed by a HCA.  Everyone was  professional and staff were very understanding & caring.  Mum was so anxious about procedure, but they made her feel happy and even the transport men, one was named Paul, made us feel very comfortable.

As an NHS worker myself it was nice to have this experience as it’s always not a great experience at times.

Please could you let both departments know how grateful we were and would love to book Paul & partner every time mum has appointments.

Thank you

Dear Sforbes

Thank you for posting here about your mother's recent visit to the Gynae outpatients where she underwent a procedure.

I was so pleased to hear that the staff from the very beginning with the transport team to the Gynae team were able to put your mother at ease and make the whole ordeal more bearable for her. I will most certainly ensure that both the Gynae team and the Transport team are made of your kind words, and I am sure they will be very grateful to hear that their efforts have ben recognised.

I hope your mother has recovered well since her procedure in March, and any other visits to the Trust go as well as this one did.

Kind regards

Peter Hare
