"Well done to all concerned"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I just want to pay a massive tribute to the Phone First service and Minor Injuries in CAH . Having stupidly sustained a deep laceration to my hand which needed stitches on Easter Monday I used the Phone First service at 1140 and was triaged by a very friendly Staff Nurse Joanne at 12:50 who gave me an appointment in Minor Injuries in Craigavon Area Hospital at 14:10 . I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival and had my hand cleaned , inspected and stitched by  Lisa, Advanced Nurse Practitioner.  I had a tetanus booster and was finished at 14:30.

Lisa was so friendly and efficient and I have nothing but praise for my whole experience. Phone First is an excellent innovation which saves the patient waiting around in the department and must be better for staff to not have as many people in the waiting areas, and Lisa was brilliant in Minor Injuries. Well done to all concerned, and apologies from me for having to use the service especially on a Bank Holiday.
