"COVID vaccines cancellation"

My 2 children received appointments for vaccines on Sunday. We spent the day trying to do some fun things to take their minds off the jab as they were both anxious. Upon arrival to the vaccination centre, we discovered that it was closed. There were some other people arriving for appointments as well. Someone called the appointment booking line and the helpful lady managed to find out that the centre had not been opened that day but no-one knew why. I then had 2 psyched up kids and no vaccines.

I telephoned today to reschedule and was told no kids appointments were available and even though the appointment we had was cancelled by the NHS, I am now expected to continue to call every few days to try to rearrange these appointments.

I find it really bad that we weren't contacted to cancel our appointments, there was no notification at the centre as to what was happening and now I am expected to waste my time calling to try to get new appointments (and will also need to psyche my kids up again too!)
