"Upbeat and positive place"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Bluestone Unit (In-patient wards for mental health)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The Dorsey Unit here in Craigavon is a very friendly, upbeat and positive place. So far I have been enjoying myself a lot, the staff and I have lots of fun together and greats laughs. They are truly amazing people as they have been very lovely towards me. They are very caring and I always feel comfortable to talk to them about anything. At times I can get overwhelmed and feel upset but staff are always there to help calm me down and reassure me that everything is going to be okay. I feel much supported by all the staff members.

I love the room that I am in at the moment, it is very comfortable as it reminds me of my room back home, it is always kept very clean and the staff have been very good at helping me with this. One thing that I have been really enjoying is the food as its delicious! My favourite meal is the chicken and chips, I look forward to it every time I could never get sick of it. What I would like to see an improvement on is the menu as I feel it needs more options to choose from, for example they could introduce stir-fries and pasta dishes to the menu as it would be nice to try something new.

Thank you to all the staff for their help and support in here, I was very nervous coming in here but I'm very happy with where I am now!
