"A& E treatment"

About: King's Mill Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Kingsmill hospital for blood test and review for transfer to Glenfield hospital for heart problems I suffer from, as I am under a cardio consultant there.

As to my admission to Kingsmill a&e. I was put on a monitored bed  after 3/4 hr and had a ecg done .

1hr after that my bloods were taken, I was asked if had any pain which I did and  told the nurse .After three and half hours I caught the attention of a nurse and  asked them what was going on as to my pain relief  for my chest. They told me they would find the nurse who was looking after me. Four and half hours later a nurse came with oral morph ,after one hour a doctor asked if they can take some more bloods I asked why. I was  told my first lot bloods had congealed I told the doctor, I am on blood thinners and I did not accept this and refused any more bloods to be taken. All the time on trolley bed, I was never checked because I have a CRTD implant device which is defib pacemaker . now here's the puncher I've had my natural pace maker burn out so the only thing that keeps my heart working is the pacemaker. no doctor came  to check on me . so after five  half hours of this, I asked the nurse what was going on. I was told every time they were  busy and I've got to wait. This is where I told them that I'd had enough of the way I'd been treated  and got taxi  back home. The driver help me in to taxi and out. When got home informed my GP what went off . I would love to rate it a 10 out of 10  but I feel its more a 4 due to way I was treated, this is not first time this happened to me at Kingsmill a&e. I feel the staff  need keep patients informed,  but I've notice if you old and frail they don't talk to you, I was  left on my own . Because of what's been implanted inside me and my care. I've been told by one of there consultants am in wrong hospital as all my treatment is done at Glenfield heart hospital and that's where I should be, but ambulance crews say nearest a&e if patient got chest pain. so I feel stuck between brick and hard place .
