"Wishaw day surgery, epidurals and staff"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

Once again I have much to be thankful for from the front line staff NHS Wishaw day surgery. Waited for my procedures for well over two years and was in crippling pain and worse. Sharon Susan Melissa and Elspith in the day unit could not have been more welcoming and caring if they had tried.

Mr James who I consider a friend now after several years in his care appeared with the usual big smile that made me feel very humbled. This gentleman was greeted with genuine affection by everyone waiting for treatment that to include myself.

This man is more than a credit to NHS Lanarkshire a truly genuine compassionate human being who cares for his patients. Two days after my procedure now and these injections have transformed my life more than I can say.

Thank you again all the frontline staff but more so the troops at the day surgery. That to include the team in the theatre they also made me feel the most important person in the hospital that day.

My thanks to them all led by Mr James a friend.

Dear Matt-W

I am delighted to say thank you for sharing your recent experience at our Day Surgery unit within University Hospital Wishaw.

Attending hospital for treatment can be an anxious time but I see Sharon, Susan, Melissa and Elspith were extremely welcoming to the unit.

It will give me pleasure to share your kind words of encouragement to the staff and Mr James who I am sure will have a smile when advised of your feedback.

Wishing you well for the future.

Best wishes

Jean

Thank you Jean it’s always good to know that the feedback is getting to all the frontline troops and everyone involved. As a veteran I always appreciated a nod or a wink it made the next day that bit easier
