"NHS Lanarkshire unregistered dental service"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Dental

(as a service user),

My mum attended an emergency appointment today (toothache and abscess). She has a dental phobia after previous traumatic experiences and we explained this when we arrived. The dentist who saw her was Amy McKay. Amy and her colleague were exceptional in their care of my mum, helping her to feel at ease, explaining the procedures and taking their time with her. We were very grateful for their care and patience today (and their speedy extraction of the dodgy tooth!)

Good morning ClaraMcg123

Thank you for sharing your mum's experience whilst attending the Dental Department within University Hospital Wishaw via Care Opinion.

I agree, dental treatment can be traumatic when you have had a bad experience but I am delighted Amy and her colleague were able to put your mum at ease and explain the procedure to her.

It will be my pleasure to share your feedback with Amy and her department, who I know will be encouraged.

I hope your mum is now pain free and recovering well.

Best wishes

Jean

It was in Buchanan Centre. I’m not sure why it came up as Wishaw. Great service. Thanks again
