"Good care from kind staff"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine

(as a friend),

My flatmate had an issue and attended the Accident and Emergency Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

She was well looked after by a lovely staff member, Ellen. Really made sure that both of us (even though I wasn’t injured or unwell) were ok.

Dear Rachh09,

Firstly, please accept my apologies for the time it has taken us to respond to the kind comments you shared with us. It really brought a smile to Ellen’s face knowing that she helped make you and your friend comfortable during your visit to A&E. We are sorry you had to wait longer than expected but are pleased to say we are working on a number of improvements to try to reduce waiting times for patients.

Thanks again for getting in touch.

Take care,

Lisa

Dear Rachh09

An update regarding a recent change which you may be interested in.

Although The Emergency Department remains extremely busy, we are committed to improving how we communicate waiting times to patients. We have installed an audio patient information system that informs patients in the waiting areas with approximate waiting times.
