I was admitted to A & E in University Hospital Wishaw at the beginning of the week, and the staff were quick on the job to help me. I felt welcomed, relaxed, and reassured; I was in the right place. The staff were really friendly all doing their part. I was put on oxygen, and had blood taken, x-ray, IV and antibiotics within 90 minutes of arriving. I could see there were challenging patients within the department, the staff worked very hard to make sure we were all cared for. A big thanks to Amy, Klara, Nikki, Thea, and the nurse in charge Janice. I can't thank them enough for what they have done as it can be a scary place. Although they have so many other people in their care, these lovely ladies regularly checked in on me and made sure I was okay or if I needed anything. Also, I'd like to say thanks to the volunteer worker who made sure I had water and tea to drink, a friendly man.
