"Operation to straighten the fourth ..."

About: Andover War Memorial Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Operation to straighten the fourth toe on my right foot which had been deformed for as long as I can remember and painful for a couple of years. Staff kind and reassuring, a very caring atmosphere. Did not experience a lot of pain except for the initial two injections for anaesthesia. Surgeon quck and competent. As my experience was a good one I hope I shall not be so anxious when I have the same procedure on my left foot! The after care was also thorough and comprehensive from the admin staff, nurses and podiatric surgeon. I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the day surgery ward.

What could be improved

There could be problems for people if they have no one to collect them as initially a bit immobile
