I would highly recommend Bexhill hospital's ophthalmology day surgery unit for cataract treatment, especially for nervous patients. During my visit, everyone from the receptionist at the front door onwards was welcoming and reassuring. The unit is highly efficient and the whole procedure took less than two hours but the nurses and surgeon took time to explain everything and make patients feel comfortable. The medical staff are expert and caring, and the operation was completely painless. I had recently had a less than pleasant experience at another hospital for the same procedure but the experience at Bexhill was quite different. My lens replacement operation was very successful and with trouble free recovery. I am extremely grateful to all concerned and will opt for Bexhill hospital for the operation on the other eye when the time comes.

The Trust strives to provide patients with a high standard of care and treatment at all times, and so we are delighted to read you were very pleased with the cataract treatment you received at Bexhill Hospital. It is also very reassuring for us to read that from the moment you arrived you were treated professionally and with kindness, and staff took the time to explain the procedure with you. This undoubtedly gave you confidence in staff and the procedure you were having, particularly given how important our eyes are to us.

We are very pleased to read you had a trouble-free recovery, and feel confident in returning to us when you have need to return for another eye procedure. Lastly, we hope the cataract treatment has helped to restore or improve your quality of vision.
