"Staff were amazing from start to finish and very thorough"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiology (X-rays and Scans)

(as a service user),

Was sent to A&E by NHS24 due to past history and some concerning symptoms.

Staff were amazing from start to finish and very thorough with me. Everyone we came across were pleasant and helpful despite the fact it was the middle of the night.

A student nurse was tasked with 1 to 1 care of an unwell elderly patient who was obviously confused and upset. They handled the situation with dignity and care despite them not being the easiest of patients.

Doctors made sure I was 100% stable before allowing me to go home and return the following day for a CT scan which avoided the rigmarole of being admitted overnight and I much preferred the comfort of my own bed and shower!

Dear Lfh22

thank you for taking the time to post such positive comments on care opinion. I was heartened to read that a scan was arranged for you as an out- patient therefore avoiding an extended wait in the ED or an unnecessary admission to hospital.

We are very fortunate to work alongside such dedicated staff and I will also pass your comments onto the staff concerned. It is such a morale boost for staff to hear that patients appreciate the service they provide

Thanks again and do hope you are improving and making a good recovery

Kindest regards

Yvonne
