I took unwell driving into Glasgow with my family. I collapsed and became unconscious near Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
GRI A&E Staff were first class and immediately admitted me into hospital. I was given a thorough check by Doctor Cahill, a lovely, kind and compassionate young man and his attending team.
I was admitted to Ward 11 where the attention to detail was second to none. All staff were attentive, caring and compassionate, sometimes under extreme duress and provocation. I was looked after by them at all times including auxiliary staff, nursing staff and their many proficient doctors.
I was given thorough examinations to try and determine my prognosis, i.e. blood clots; CT Scans etc etc.
I would like to thank all staff in A&E and Ward 11 who provided an excellent and professional first class service - If this is the standard we have in busy and extremely volatile wards then OUR NHS Scotland services are in good hands.
"A truly great service"
