"Attending the day surgery unit"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I attended  for a colonoscopy at the day surgery unit . It was a good experience overall.  The personnel were all pleasant ,efficient and caring , in reception ,surgery and recovery . I was impressed . Too many of us take the NHS for granted .

Dear Bigbrief,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback regarding your recent colonoscopy. I am pleased to hear you had a really positive experience and I will ensure this is fed back to all staff within the unit.

Thanks again,

Katie

Dear Bigbrief,

Thanks for taking the time to provide such positive feedback on your visit to the Day Surgery Unit.

Charge Nurse Pauline Tighe and her team work very hard to ensure they support all people attending the Unit and provide the best care possible, it truly is a team effort. I'm pleased you've also mentioned the reception staff; it's really important that people are met with a warm welcome to help put them at ease.

It will be my pleasure to share your kind words with the team, it means a lot when people such as yourself take the time to recognise their professionalism, care and compassion.

Best wishes with any ongoing treatment and management of your condition.

Kind regards

Rick
