"No Update or Contact"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Acute Receiving Unit (Units 1-5)

(as a carer),

Currently my Mother is in ARU 2 after suffering an adrenal crisis and testing positive for covid. I've called the ward eight times today and every single time the call has been ended by the ward. I'm autistic with mental health difficulties, have been left in the house on my own with no updates about my Mother.

Previously when she was in resus they had absolutely no problems with keeping me updated but now she seems to have disappeared and I have no way of finding out how she is or what is happening. I'm not allowed to visit her because both she and I have tested positive for covid. I'm worried sick, haven't slept and have no way of knowing if my Mum is okay. Please look into this and make sure this isn't happening to other families because it's heartbreaking being left in the dark like this.
