"I was rushed to hospital had major surgery"

About: Community Therapy Services / Nottingham West Community Therapy

(as a service user),

I was in hospital for 4 weeks one of which was in intensive care when I came home I needed some help with my mobility and my strength without Helens help giving me exercises to do and help with advice as I was quite weak and needed building my strength up I am now able to do a few little things like make my bed which I couldn't do 4 weeks ago. Helen was there for me and I have to say she was very helpful

Thank you so much for taking the time feedback on our services. Our Discharge to Assess service aims to support people home from hospital and ensure that they continue to rehabilitate at home and recover their independence.

I am sorry to hear you needed surgery and as you say, it can really result in weakness and loss abilities to complete day to day tasks. I am thrilled you have been able to improve your strength and confidence with Helen's support. Helen is a valued member of our team and I will be sure to pass this feedback onto her.

I wish you well for your future health and please do contact us on the number Helen provided if we can be of any help in the future.
