Admitted to station 3 at Ayr hospital for uterine embolisation treatment under the care of Dr Ablett. My journey started in station 3 where I was admitted by staff nurse Fiona, taken to the radiology theatre who were all lovely and made me feel very calm. I apologise that I cannot remember the names of the theatre staff that assisted Dr Ablett with my treatment, you were all wonderful.
I was then transferred to recovery where I was cared for by staff nurse Wendy and May and then back to station 3 for post op care. On the ward staff nurse Megan and the senior charge nurse Jackie took care of me on return from theatre then on the night shift , Staff nurse Lisa and nursing assistant Sara were fabulous. Thanks to the ward ANP and the ladies that managed to take my blood. I didn’t bring my veins with me 🙈!
From admission yesterday to discharge this afternoon, I can only praise the care I received from all the staff. All very welcoming, patient caring and respectful. Nothing was a problem to them despite how busy I could see they all were.
To each and every one of you, thank you for doing your job so well. A lovely example of fabulous nursing and medical care.
I’m very grateful.
Many thanks and kind regards
