"Pharmacy-Pride waiting times"

About: Royal Derby Hospital

I have to collect my cytotoxic medication from the hospital pharmacy. Today the wait was to be over an hour (40mins wait is quite usual). As I live nearby I could return later to collect meds but others were not so fortunate. This department needs more staff to check prescriptions at 'busy' times-eg day clinic opening times & lunch breaks. The staff try their best and apologise but the 'collection' queues often wind out onto the corridors with people in very close proximity to each other.
