"It's unbelievable!"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Surgery (wards 64, 65, 66,& 67) Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Outpatients

(as the patient),

I am in a surgical receiving ward at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. I've been in awful pain on my abdomen and I've requested several times my meds since morning because I suffer from nerve pain and sclerosis on my hips and back.

It's now late afternoon and no one so far has given me my medication. I feel completely neglected. I've been with a tremendous pain on my abdomen and it feels as if no one is doing nothing about it.

I've never felt so neglected in my whole life. It's unbelievable!

Dear Lara1972

Please accept my apologies for the delay in replying to your post. I am sorry that you have been left waiting for your medication and that you have been left feeling completely neglected. As you are in hospital I would ask to speak to the nurse in charge. I will also discuss this with the staff in the Ward.

Regards

John
