"They made a horrible situation that bit easier"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Emergency department Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Paediatrics Northern Ireland Ambulance Service

(as a parent/guardian),

My 2 year old son contracted COVID and had a febrile seizure. This was an awfully scary time but thankfully he is ok. The ambulance staff who attended our home were amazing with him and when we arrived in ED, despite it being very busy, crowded and under pressure, my son was treated like he was the only person in the department. The staff were all amazing and made a horrible situation that bit easier. The paediatric doctor on duty that night was amazing, very reassuring and again, made the situation that bit easier. Thank you to all!!
