I had a very positive experience when I was admitted for induction of labour. Prior to induction I was very anxious as my previous pregnancy was a planned C-section and I had another elective C-section booked with this pregnancy until last minute when baby turned from breech. The unknown can be a scary thought but thankfully the midwives and doctors guided me through an amazing experience .
From admission to discharge I was treated with as much dignity as possible and respect . I knew most of the staff involved in my care and I am so grateful I had some friendly faces during such a vulnerable time . Dr Diaz , Dr Kennedy & Dr MacDonald ensured I was reassured and aware of exactly what was going on at all times. Midwife Lauren & midwife Marie were amazing during the full induction and labour process . Our beautiful baby boy arrived after 5 and a half hours of labour weighing a healthy 8lb 10oz 💙. Lauren also acknowledged how amazing my husband was during active labour as well , which was lovely as he didn’t know what to expect and struggled seeing the pain I experienced.
I just wanted to thank the staff involved in the induction and labour process as their amazing care allowed me to safely have a Vbac with continuous support and reassurance . I’m so grateful I got to experience a Vbac and genuinely believe all of the staff are worth their weight in gold. Amazing team representing our nhs 💕.
