"Amazing service!"

About: Older People’s Services / Hospital at Home Northern Sector

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

Story by family member of male patient from Derry/ Londonderry area

This is the second time the service was provided for my father.

The team were so knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and professional.  Nothing was too much trouble.

It was amazing that my dad could remain at home and receive this level of care and attention.  He recovered really well and the medical team had to make some changes to his current medications that were long overdue- thank you all so much!

My mum, who is also in her 80's, felt very relieved that he could remain at home so this helped with her anxiety.  Thanks for this.

Amazing service!

I am delighted to hear about your positive journey with acute care at home. The aim of the team is to prevent hospital admission while receiving hospital based treatment. Patients improve much quicker at home and it also takes the stress and anxiety away from the family. I will pass on your story to the team.

Many thanks
