I had a telephone appointment with one of the GP's at the surgery. I suffer from depression and anxiety since I was really young and have tried different medications. I asked to be referred to the psyquatrist and was told I don't meet the criteria, despite me telling her I have suicidal thoughts and the medication that I take is not really working. I was advised to either increase my med (which I have done before and didn't work) or join a community group where I could meet new people and garden or do other activities. I don't need to meet new people, I want to be able to move from bed in the mornings and manage to work. I will not be recommending this GP, which did not seem experienced at all and made me feel really hopeless.
"A joke"
