"Our birth experience"

About: Borders Community Services / Community Maternity service Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Throughout our pregnancy and labour everyone we encountered both in the community midwife team and all the midwives and student midwives at the BGH were fantastic. Jo our community midwife helped us come up with a birth plan we were happy about before going to hospital while the midwives and student midwives at the hospital were all kind, friendly and approachable. No question was too silly or no request too big. They took our birth preferences into account and did their utmost to make these a reality for us. Eunice and Kizzy helped us to feel relaxed and supported throughout our labour and made sure it was a calm experience for all.

Thank you everyone!

Thank you LT19! for taking the time to feed back to us.

We are delighted you feel the birth plan you made up with your Community Midwife was put into action when you gave birth and your choices were put into reality for you both. It is lovely to hear you have received person centered care from both the Team as a whole and we will feed this back to them, it is so important to them all!

Thank you again for taking the time as we know how busy new mums can be.

I hope you are settling into life as a new family and enjoying your new baby!

Kind Regards

Claire
