I recently attended the A and E department. I was really worried and anxious. The staff were abolutley outstanding, very professional and reassuring. They appeared very dedicated to their jobs.
I was very frightened and the staff made me feel at ease.
The nurse that looked after me. His name was Adam. He was very kind and caring, an absolute credit to the NHS. He was very professional, approachable and ensured I was treated with the upmost respect and dignity. The way I heard him talking to the other patients assured me I was in safe hands. During such a frightening time I knew I had an empathetic nurse who cared about me.
The doctor who looked after me was fantastic. Her name was Rebecca. She listened to me, gave me a thorough assessment. She made me feel at ease. She listened to all my symptoms and I felt as though she took everything I said seriously and acted upon what I told her. She was very empathetic and understanding and I knew she cared about me which made me feel valued.
The porter who took me for a CT scan. He was very kind and understanding. I know how important a job the porters do as I work for the NHS. Often I find they are under looked and feel undervalued, but this porter was also an absolute credit to the NHS.
Overall my experience in the A and E department was a positive one. The staff are amazing and are doing a great job in such challenging times. Well done Adam and Rebecca you both are amazing and I am so grateful, that I had you both to look after me at such a frightening time!
