"Kindness, care and attention"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I'm indebted to our NHS teams at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary ED and Wishaw General DSU for their kindness, care and attention after I sustained a serious knee injury; to the paramedic first responders (they'll know who they are since they very kindly dropped my wife at our hotel which was en route to A&E), the A&E team in Edinburgh who managed the initial diagnosis and treatment and, jointly with Wishaw Hospital, arranged for my care to be taken over by Wishaw (not forgetting the OTs who were key to me being passed 'fit to move'), and the subsequent swift arrangements made by DSU at Wishaw to admit me for surgery; from being checked-in through to discharge, and indeed my first post-op appointment in Wishaw Ortrho/Fracture Clinic, a big thank you to everyone.
