"Gratitude for my breast cancer care"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Breast Clinic University Hospital Monklands / Breast Clinic University Hospital Monklands / Medical Oncology (Ward 16)

(as the patient),

I wish to thank the wonderful team at Hairmyres and Monklands hospitals who have looked after me since my breast cancer diagnosis in August 2021.

The Oncologist team under Mr Hicks, the nurses at Monklands who administered my chemotherapy. Mr Murphy, Surgeon who performed my Mastectomy and the wonderful young anaesthetist who did everything in his power to make sure my operation went ahead in spite of my “racing” pulse. Elaine, my wonderful breast cancer nurse who was very caring and helpful.

Words cannot express my gratitude. The NHS at its very best and all throughout the ongoing problems caused with Covid.

Thank you all.

Dear Pleased15

Thanks for taking the time to recognise the professionalism of my colleagues. We are aware that people are often anxious when attending for a procedure and the staff work really hard to provide clear information and help allay any fears or anxieties people have; it sounds like your have received the treatment and care we strive to deliver.

It will be my pleasure to share your positive feedback and kind words with all the staff, it will make their day and mean a lot to them.

Best wishes

Jean
