"Lack of appropriate care"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

After suffering a fall which resulted in broken wrist had part cast fitted with promise of imminent surgery. After 5 days received a call saying to come back for third scan. After scan ended up being seen 6 different receptionist/triage stations but not an actual doctor or nurse. Despite repeated requests was not given any medication so sent home in extreme pain which now lived with for 6 days. Totally lack of empthay or understanding. Still waiting for a call for yet again promised surgery for metal plate in wrist. A visit to a vets might yield better care

Dear Kerry. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and I am sorry to hear that things did not go well. It sounds very frustrating and sorry that you have been in such pain. I am not sure if you have now had your surgery but, if you are still having difficulties, can I suggest that you contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service at the PRUH and then can help you. Tel: 01689 863252 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (not bank holidays),

Email: kch-tr.palspruh@nhs.net. Kind regards. Jessica Bush, Head of Patient Experience.
