"No update from the long covid clinic"

About: Respiratory medicine / Long covid clinic

(as the patient),

After a referral from Nottingham City Hospital to the Long Covid Clinic, I find that nearly a year since I was first referred, I am no further forward. My health has been impacted since I first contracted Covid almost two years ago.

I have spoken with the clinic who told me the appointment would be in a couple of weeks but since I was told last June that I needed investigation for abnormalities since contracting covid, I have not heard a thing and I am becoming increasingly worried about neurological symptoms as well as the other debilitating symptoms I have.

I have become so ill that I have had to reduce my working hours. I would just like to know what is happening and when.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch and for bringing this to our attention. I’m very sorry to read that your health has deteriorated and that you haven’t been updated by the clinic about an appointment. Please can you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison team so that they can take some further details from you and look into the concerns that you have raised. They can be contacted on 0800 183 0204 or you can email them at PALS@nuh.nhs.uk.

Thank you
