Clean day surgery unit
Reasonably prompt
What could be improved
SURGICAL DAY UNIT.
Too many nurses involved to maintain quality of knowlege for each patient, more that 9 interacted with me.
Promised medication, none came because of too many hand overs of notes.
Rude Consultant, glared at patients on entering unit said nothing to anyone.
Never met my surgeon, or Anaethatist until he put in my Venflon for injection.
No dressings given or follow up offered.
Hand outs for post op care, not very helpful.
It was like a factory and I was the product being processed.
No quality system would be approved under ISO 9000, let alone GCP STANDARDS.
The unit needs to be than new and clean.
Got post op infection in wound from procedure.
They have forgetten they treat human beings not cases.
If this is the best you can do, Tony and Gordon have wasted time and money and peoples quality of life.
