"My Partners hospital stay"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Respiratory Medicine

(as a relative),

My partner is currently at Ninewells Hospital Dundee with Pneumonia and influenza infection and I am writing this, as I feel his health and recovery is not getting the care and attention he deserves. There is another patient on the ward, who since my partner has arrived on ward, has spent all day shouting at the top of their voice. I have heard this myself when I have got the chance to visit. He is not getting a chance to relax or sleep for the noise that is repeatedly being heard from his bed. Surely something has to be done, whether it be the patient or my partner gets moved, as if it continues I feel it is slowing down his recovery as he is not getting a chance to recover. My partner is struggling as away from family, his kids and myself, spending all day worrying about us and trying his best to get himself well again. All the time, this patient is shouting at top of their voice 24/7 and I know staff are aware of issue as are the other patients. My partner is poorly and not getting a fair chance to recover.
