Our Dad was a patient on Urquhart ward at Biggart Hospital for over six weeks. Sadly he passed away while an inpatient.
The last few days were very difficult for the whole family. The care he received at this time was excellent. He was looked after with dignity and respect at all times and nothing was too much trouble for the staff and all his medical and nursing care needs were met.
We were always consulted regarding his care and prognosis.
It’s the wee things that you notice, the call bell was always close at hand, his bedside table would have his glasses, paper and clock on it - just in case he needed them.
As a family we were treated with care and compassion, from tea and toast, unrestricted visiting and kind support when we needed it.
We thank you all, domestics, all levels of nursing staff, care assistants, student nurses, porters and all the medical staff for your hard work.
