"I hope my words encourage and convey my thanks"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Cardiology (Ward 4)

(as the patient),

The town of Wishaw is not known for it’s beauty, class or refinement. However on closer inspection there is a diamond at it’s centre. A group of ordinary people with extraordinary skills, knowledge, patience, kindness and dedication to serving and the care of others. They are the staff of ward 4 of University Hospital Wishaw.

I am currently a patient in this Ward. I have been diagnosed with heart related problems. From the ward manager Garry for his brilliant leadership through every roll performed in the amazing running of this functioning organ of care and service there is an outstanding standard of work ethic.

Everyone knows how important  his or her roll is. from cleanliness to diagnostics and beyond in the incredible daily performance of this machine. The doctors are fantastic with the patients and in their communications making sure we understand every step taken in our health journeys.

There is one function that they never leave behind and that’s a we bit of humour and fun along the way. The NHS has and still in unprecedented times, I know we the public think we know, in reality we don’t have a clue about what it takes to look after us. Praise is the best motivator and I hope that my words today encourage you but most of all you convey my heart felt thanks to the staff of ward 4. These people for me are the bright and shining stars in somewhat darker times

Dear Jimonini

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experiences of ward 4 at University Hospital Wishaw. I am sorry to hear of you recent heart problems.

I am pleased to hear your kind comments about the staff of ward 4 and the care and support Garry and his team have been providing for you. As you say it takes a team to provide the standard of care our patients need including medical, nursing, domestic staff to name a few. Its great to hear that the staff explained things well to you and that you feel informed and understep each step in your journey. Its so true too that a sense of humour helps brighten everyones day staff and patients alike.

You are quite correct praise is a great motivator and it will be my pleasrue to pass on your kind comments to Garry and his team on your behalf and I am sur they will be delighted to hear your feedback.

thank you and I wish you a speedy recovery and discharge back to your own home once well again.
