"I’m squeamish and wimpy but the nurse was fantastic"

About: Stirling Care Village / Minor injuries unit

(as the patient),

I recently had a bad fall while running and injured my knee and ankle. I was signed in by a very friendly member of staff and then after a short wait of only about 15/20 minutes I was looked at in minor injuries.

The nurse was kind and caring, as well as thorough and helpful. I was then taken through to radiology for an X-Ray, where the radiologist was professional and pleasant.

I was then given stitches to my left knee. I’m very squeamish and wimpy but the nurse was fantastic, very reassuring and calming, explaining everything she was going to do and being extremely gentle.

I was in and out in about an hour and half. Thank you so much.

Dear Happyvegan

Thank you very much for taking the time to post such lovely feedback for our staff in the Minor Injuries Unit.

I am sorry to hear you suffered what sounds like a nasty fall but I am delighted to hear you were well looked after during your time in MIU. I hope you have fully recovered now.

Feedback such as this is most welcome, particularly during such challenging times. I will ensure this is shared with the MIU team.

Thank you again and best wishes
