About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Maternity care Maternity care / Ward 45 ( antenatal) Maternity care / Ward 48 (labour ward)

(as a service user),

I was brought in to be induced in early March 2022 and I would just like to thank the midwives of ward 45 and the labour ward for the care and compassion that was shown to me.

Also a huge thank you to the doctors who helped with the delivery,  especially Dr Cat, who was amazing. They made me feel very at ease and kept me informed the whole way through. The kindness and empathy shown throughout is definitely what got me through.

Congratulations on the birth and safe delivery of your baby. I just wanted to let you know that your story has been shared with the staff mentioned. They have been extremely busy but I am sure one of the midwifery team will respond to you directly when pressures ease up a bit.
