"Welcoming and professional staff for emergency hernia repair"

About: Victoria Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

After my recent operation for inguinal hernia repair I was taken to surgical ward 52.

I was very nervous but met staff who were warm, welcoming, reassuring, friendly, professional, expert and took the time to tell me all that was happening. As I had been brought in as an emergency, I had no overnight bag or change of clothes but nurses Luke and Zoe gave me minor toiletries.

Before being discharged Dr Driscoll and the doctors who had performed the operation explained about my recuperation. They could not have been nicer.
