I am sad to say my telephone experience yesterday with the Surgery was dire. Indeed reading through reviews it is a mirror image of one supplied previously. I appreciate I moved back “home” at the worst time possible 2020. I have a complex medical history, which requires pain control more than anything. I am not young and would be described as elderly. I have tried in vain to get a face to face GP appointment, this has always been denied. Unfortunately the Surgery does not know me and my medical history.
On Friday last I visited the Surgery for a blood test. This was not done, but my B/P was taken which was on the high side. I have not been party to that reading and would suspect it relates to my upper body history.
I cannot state the kindness and interaction skills this nurse had. She listened to all I had to say and said to contact My GP to get a GP appointment. This I did yesterday.
The young lady to whom I spoke to made absolute mincemeat of me saying that I seemed well and had not had a GP visit for 2 years.
I tried to explain, but the more I did the worse it got, I was talked over the top of and told I was off tangent.
This is not helpful, indeed I find it distressing and my health will suffer.
Sad to say it but I have come to the conclusion that I must seek another Surgery, at the age I am, this is not acceptable.
