"Endoscopy Suite Glasgow Royal Infirmary"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I had to have an EUS at the Endoscopy Suite today. The nurse who was looking after me was very friendly and explained what was happening at each step. They made sure I had no concerns. The nurse who was going to be in the theatre with me was very friendly and made sure I knew what was happening. My consultant doing the test was very nice and explained what would be happening. The whole procedure was painless and the staff where all very nice. Before I left, the results were explained to me, however I had questions that only a doctor could answer. I know the doctors are extremely busy but I had questions that only they could have answered and I do not think I have to have a follow up appointment with the consultants as the test was clear.

Hi,

I am very glad to hear that your experience today was a positive one. The staff work extremely hard to make everyone's procedure as good an experience as possible.

On the negative comment I am sorry that you were unable to speak to your Consultant. If you have any concerns or worries please do not hesitate to contact the Condultant's Secretary who may be able to get answers to your questions.

Thank you again and I will pass on your thanks to the staff involved.
