"Rheumatology Qmc /treatment centre"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Rheumatology

(as a service user),

I had one appointment with a Doctor and it felt like an absolute joke. I feel they have failed me in every element they possibility could. They failed to read my history notes.

I felt that they tried to belittle my local GP, whom has worked tirelessly with me & all my health problems. They made a lot of assumptions without actually looking at all the facts in detail . And to top it all off, I wasn't even under this member of staff and they were supposed to be just taking notes for the specialist consultant.

Derby are already monitoring me for the last 4 years for a undefined CTD according to this person. I don't seem to have one, even though the antibodies plus many other issues are present. I feel this is sheer incompetence at its best.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with us. I’m sorry to read of your experience and that you left your appointment feeling this way which is not what we want for our patients.

We would appreciate the opportunity to be able to look into this for you and would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison team by calling 0800 183 0204 or email PALS@nuh.nhs.uk so that they can take some further details from you.

Kind regards

Lorraine Hourd
Divisional Nurse, Ambulatory Care

Thank you for your response.

I recollect that you have already responded to my concerns which wasn't worth the piece of paper it was written on.

As above, not dealt with sufficiently at all. The consultant would not come to the complaint meeting and to me this speaks volumes of guilt. I feel that nobody cares in the so called caring profession any longer.
