About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Intensive Care Unit

(as a relative),

Our lovely Dad, Papa & father in law James was in this ward for a short time on Monday night but was looked after exceptionally well. We could not fault the nurses and other staff in the ward for all there love and support to us and James.

Especially Eric, who was with us on the nightshift. He was caring, respectful and very kind to us all and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better in those final hours to look after James.

Thanks again to all the lovely staff.

Dear RobynL,

Please accept my condolences on James passing.

It's so important that the people we are providing care for are treated with respect, dignity and compassion. The staff in ITU strive to provide excellent care to all of their patients everyday as well as providing support to family members.

I've shared your feedback with Morag our nurse in charge of ITU today, she remembers James and your family and she wasn't surprised that you'd singled Eric out for praise.

Thank you for sharing such warm words at what must be a difficult time for you and your family, it truly means a lot to the staff. It will be my pleasure to share your feedback with Eric and the team.
