"A comfortable and reassuring hospital stay"

About: Causeway Hospital / Accident & Emergency Causeway Hospital / Coronary Care/Medical Monitoring Unit Causeway Hospital / Radiology Causeway Hospital / X-Ray Department

(as the patient),

I had to attend A&E in early March 2022 with severe breathing problems. I was taken within five minutes assessed by a junior doctor and nurse and thankfully was prepared to be admitted into Medical Ward 4. The nurses were all very helpful, polite and well organised. I while there I was given a chest X-ray and lung scan within 24 hours. I was also seen by a respiratory specialist. Plans were set in place for my recovery.

Over my six day stay, I can honestly say that all the staff from the doctors, nurses, pool nurses, night nurses, occupational therapists, physios, social workers, radiologists, clerical staff, pharmacists, auxiliary staff, kitchen staff , cleaners and the list goes on.....

All the meal choices and the actual meals were freshly cooked and very tasty. There was always a healthy option too.

I wish to thank all the staff for all they did to treat me so kindly and always for giving their all to make my stay comfortable and with reassurance at all times.
