"Unable to contact the ward"

(as a relative),

My uncle was admitted to 102 then transferred to 110 at ARI.  We have been unable to contact either ward since admission so have no idea what’s going on or how he is. We did get through once to ward 102 -  someone unidentified told us he’d been transferred but wouldn’t tell us how he was. We can never get through to 110.  It was the same on his admission 3-4 weeks ago. Nothing since Friday - writing this on Monday evening

Dear Castorgh53,

I am so sorry to hear that you have been unable to contact Ward 110 regarding your Uncle. Can I please offer the following options to you:

Incase the contact numbers you have been given are incorrect, can I ask you to call 01224 555757 (available 24hrs). This is the number for the Nurse in Charge. If the nurse is working with patients, they may not be able to answer your call immediately.

The contact number for reception is 01224 555110 (from 0800-1630) and they will transfer your call to the appropriate member of staff.

If you would prefer, I am happy for you to email me with the name of your Uncle and your contact details. I can then ask a member of the team to contact you. My email address is lisa.forbes2@nhs.scot. I will have access to my emails Monday - Friday.

It would not be our intention to cause any distress to you, your Uncle or you family and I offer our sincerest apologies for doing so. I am confident the above options will allow us to resolve this very quickly for you.
