I would like to inform, exactly how wonderful and grateful we are for Nottinghamshire Family Nurse Partnership Team and Lucy's incredible support.

Since the referral from CAMHS, Lucy has been working closely with my daughter who is diagnosed with several mental health disabilities. Since the birth of her own daughter in 2021, she has made immense progress with life skills and engagement, with Lucy's help. This I feel is completely down to the amazing efforts Lucy puts into her work and relationship building with her clients.

I would have never imagined this was possible for my daughter to engage with a few years ago. Lucy is so dedicated, compassionate and has truly enabled my daughter to feel proud of the progress she has made and continues to do so as a mother. Lucy is absolutely amazing, and I truly feel honoured to have her supporting my daughter.

Lucy not only has supported my daughter as a mother significantly, but recently we have had a few issues with our local GP. If it wasn’t for Lucy, going out of her way to seek the correct support, I believe my daughter would have continued to be forgotten about via the GP surgery.

I am truly thankful to have Lucy in the life of my daughter and granddaughter, this enables me to feel content as a mother.

I feel so touched and moved to receive your beautiful reflections about your family’s experience of working with Lucy.

I truly appreciate your kind and considerate words and especially that you have taken the time and care to share your heartfelt thanks and affirmations about how working with Lucy and the Family Nurse Partnership has benefited your daughter and granddaughter in such tangible ways, It feels so heart-warming and gratifying to read.

Lucy as you will know is a highly valued member of our team. She is indeed a sincere, compassionate and committed nurse and it has been joyful for me to share your email with her.

To be a family nurse, to work so closely with our young people and their babies, families like yourselves, is an incredibly rewarding job. We could not have achieved the wonderful things you have highlighted without the determination and commitment of your daughter who is an exceptional young person who has committed to our programme, engaged so positively and enthusiastically with the learning and in her relationship with Lucy because of her motivation to be a wonderful Mum.

I can see from talking with Lucy how from the beginning of the programme, she has engaged so positively with Lucy and the content of the visits to learn about her baby and has contributed so much of her time, thoughts, and feelings into the sessions.

It is a complete privilege and makes me immensely proud to be able to hear from you, how Lucy and the Family Nurse Partnership programme has played a part in helping and supporting and your daughter to become the confident, self-assured, sensitive, attuned and responsive Mum that she is and to help her and her baby to achieve their hopes and dreams.

Your feedback is inspiring as is your pride for your daughter and helps us to continue our commitment to our work. I would like very much to share it with the team
