My son attended A&E at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow earlier this week with abdominal pain and vomiting. He was admitted to ward 3B, under the care of the surgical team and went to theatre less than 24hours later. Everyone from the A&E team, to the many ward nurses we met, Mr Jacovides, David the surgical reg, the theatre staff (including the Spanish male member of staff who escorted us to the theatre), the anaesthetists (I'm sorry, I can't remember everyones' names) were friendly, helpful, professional and reassuring. Everyone clearly introduced themselves, engaged with my son to make him feel at ease and explained things in a way he could understand. You were all great and we would like to thank you all for the wonderful care we received.
