I was an inpatient at Fairhaven for just over a year.
The hospital was clean, we were all fed. We did lots of activities. We got looked after very well. Then the staff went down and they decided to close in 2019 as shortage of staff which at the end of my stay I noticed it did go down hill.
But the staff team at the time was amazing! 5 yrs on, I now have a little girl. Not where I seen myself 5 years ago! The staff learnt me a lot with myself and even everyday basic needs to. I would have loved to go back and see all the staff.
Ricky, Anna, Crystal, there was a lot of staff I would like to say thank you to. They did a lot for me as I was a handful at times.
And patients themselves I wouldn’t name as that’s confidential, but some of you I still talk to to this day, and I appreciate that and I am glad you are still fighting.
So thank you to you all at Fairhaven! For helping me and learning me new skills on how to manage emotions and how to look brighter on life because the dark path will end one day.
