Anything else?
I had to have a minor operation. Overall I was happy about the care I received in hospital the nurses in the recovery team were excellent and made me feel comfortable.
The ward nurses on the other hand were difficult to locate and when I was handed back to the ward I receive very little care from them. When I did get hold of them for anything they were polite but seemed very busy. I noticed the lack of attention other patients received on my ward also, some of whom were very sick. I don't want to blame the nurses I just blame the lack of! They had so many patents to look after they were constantly running around like mad. They didn't have time to prep me for my op my mother just offered to do it for me, and afterwards found myself and other patents helping me afterwards although I struggled to even get out of my bed.
I don't believe it's more care training the nurses need its just help! there are too many patents allocated to very little ward nurses.
