"My GP practice and ongoing eye problems"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as a service user),

Because of my ongoing eye problems and failed consultation as described in another story. I wish to talk to a GP, about this and medication problems.

I began the telephone torture ringing at 0905 this morning. Calls were not going through. Eventually at 0950 I got through. Listened to the Doctors  explanation why we cannot be seen. Eventually got into the all our operators are busy.. message. 5 minutes, got through and was told, Im sorry we have no more telephone appointments left today, phone back tomorrow, we are exceptionally busy today. I said that tomorrow  will be the same, to which they said Im sorry you will have to call back. The NHS is making me stressed and ill, and they dont want to hear from me. It is unacceptable.

Dear kipper24

I am sorry to read of your difficulties trying to obtain an appointment with your GP.

I can advise GP's are independent contractors and are responsible for investigating and responding to any concerns a person may have about their service; they are not registered to respond directly to feedback through Care Opinion. I would therefore invite you to contact the Practice Manager if you would like a direct response about the service you experienced.

Kind regards

Jean
