"5* Maternity team SWAH"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I have had all 3 of my babies in the SWAH and each time they were amazing. Dr mckinney was my consultant through my journey in the antenatal period, she is a real lady and an excellent consultant who clearly loves her job and empowered me to get through the difficult weeks particularly the 3rd trimester. Her guidance, advice and plan of care this pregnancy was exemplary and much appreciated by me and my husband.

I was induced with my 3rd baby a few days ago by Emma who was so nice and put me at easy straight away. There was Mairead the sister on duty along with the auxiliaries Carmel, Claire and Colleen who all were very welcoming and looked after me so well. I can't express enough how absolutely outstanding the 3 midwives that were there with me to help deliver my baby boy. Caroline, sister Tracy and student midwife Lauren. Thank you so much, you are 3 extremely caring, professional, and talented midwives and I will be forever grateful for your help and guidance throughout my labour. The next morning back on the ward there were 2 midwives called Jo and Tara who couldn't of done enough for me.

Overall the SWAH Maternity ward and all the staff were so professional, highly skilled, caring and looked after me, my husband and my baby extremely well. You do not get enough credit for all the hard work that you do day in and day out, from the midwives to the students to the auxiliaries to the cleaners.

I couldn't promote this maternity unit strongly enough and we are so lucky to have such holistic care within the South West of the province.

I can't finish without mentioning the excellent Omagh community midwifery team of midwives, auxiliaries and receptionists. There care and attention though all 3 of my pregnancy has been outstanding. Donna, Bethany, Donna, Annmarie, Celine, Emma, Pauline Midwifery support and receptionist Aileen only to name a few.

I would really appreciate if this could be passed onto the persons mentioned as a small token of our heartfelt appreciation from me and my family.
