Never had any complaints before, however I feel disheartened. A member of staff was laughing about the spread of covid and thinks its them spreading it on c18b vascular. They seemed to find it very amusing to loudly, at the top of their voice say its them giving people covid on the ward. We have lost friends and families due to coronavirus. Have we really become this heartless that we laugh whilst people are in isolation or covid positive people that are sick and the impact its had on their well being and mental health? I really hope this would be looked in to, as it really is hurtful. Its scary, covid has taken many lives and every single one of those lives has mattered. So this should not be anything to laugh about in any context. Being sick, you want someone professional, caring and compassionate taking care of you and that's what I think the NHS should be. It doesn't matter, you could be in the NHS for 30 years or just 3 days - no one is superior. Your care should always be delivered professionally to a high degree and standard.
